A long history of bespoke craftsmanship

Simonsen and Czechura started as a small Danish carpentry firm in 1994 by Peter Simonsen and Robert Czechura. From building up the company in a small shed North of Copenhagen, today we have our own carpentry and showroom in Denmark.

Given our backgrounds as architects and craftsmen, clients turn to us for a wide range of projects. From custom-made furniture to re-designing kitchens to complete home renovations, we design and build from scratch.

A local carpentry

In particular, we have developed a reputation for designing and producing kitchens, with very simple, streamlined designs. An approach we are also able to apply to classic kitchens.

By engaging the same core, experienced team of carpenters and craftsmen to build and install the kitchens into our clients’ homes, they have a strong feeling of responsibility for bringing each product solution to life

At Simonsen and Czechura, we strive to be at the forefront of design developments. This enables us to create a totally new vision for your home, customized to your personal needs. An approach that gives us total freedom to view each project with fresh eyes.

Given our extensive experience, our passion for design and interiors, our dedicated team, and modern facilities, we are well equipped to design, build, and tailor-make interiors of exceptional hand-crafted quality. Overseeing the entire process – from idea to completion.

If you have a dream home in mind, let’s work together to make it a reality.

A personal touch

Here is our chance to get aquainted, and for us to hear about your intentions. Together, we go through all the aspects that may influence the project, such as plans, your timeline, budget and your goals in regard to functionality and style. If feasible, we will also offer to meet on-site and take preliminary measurements.

1 Initial Meeting

You will be invited to a meeting in the showroom, where, based on your dreams and the possibilities on site, we will present our proposed solution. Together, we will review the sketch proposal, the preliminary estimate, and the terms of the project. If you choose to proceed from here, we will prepare a collaboration agreement for you.

2 Sketch Proposal

We believe that every project is unique. There are many choices and considerations that will help you to navigate, so that the final result reflects your dreams.

Depending of the complexity of the project, we will meet with you as needed in our showroom, where we present materials and samples.

3 Clarification

Once the details have been agreed upon, we will prepare production drawings which serve as the basis for the actual order. The production time is approx. 12 weeks from your approval of our drawings. We have our own fully modern carpentry workshop north of Copenhagen. Payments are arranged in installments: 45 % upon order, 45 % at the scheduled start of installation, and 10 % upon final settlement.

4 Ordering

Before the installation begins, you will be contacted by our installation manager, who will be involved throughout the process. We have our own dedicated installers, ensuring the best results. If the project includes stone countertops, you should expect an additional 3 weeks for installation.

After the installation, we will conduct a walkthrough together, where any deficiencies will be noted and subsequently corrected.
